Responsibilities

Are you someone who enjoys the art of working with all aspects of IT, from fixing computers to learning cutting edge technologies, while seamlessly orchestrating IT processes that encourage efficient automation, developing communication skills, and higher IT business awareness?

We are introducing an IT role for an astutely responsive individual who wants to partner up with Mainspring colleagues and help foster an effective and productive working environment by managing computer systems and network infrastructure, handling hardware and software deployments, and resolving IT related issues.

As an IT Systems Administrator you will …

• Graciously provide the highest level of customer service, helping team members to solve any issues while communicating clearly and effectively
• Build and help design system solutions with goals of increasing security, reliability and consistency of operational task
• Implement security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats both on internal and external company systems and hardware
• Create and maintain IT system automation to streamline provisioning and deprovisioning of users/access across multiple platforms
• Keep up to date with advancements and best practices in IT systems and security administration
• Configure and troubleshoot network and system outages and provide proper report documentation

Qualifications

You have …

• More than 5 years of hands-on experience in IT
• Developed and maintain strong relationships with service providers and vendors to manage third-party systems and services
• Strong administrative experiences with SaaS based software like Google Workplace, Microsoft O365, Quickbase and/or Slack; PaaS (AWS, GCP) experience is a plus.
• Knowledge and experience supporting, troubleshooting, and configuring primarily Windows environments, but experience with MacOS and Linux is a plus
• Solid understanding of networking principles (like DHCP, DNS, VLANS etc.) and equipment (like firewall, SAN, NAS, switches, routers, etc.).
• Intermediate level proficiency in at least one scripting language ideal: Bash, Python, Powershell, etc.

The Bay Area salary for this role is $115k-$135k base + pre-IPO stock options + benefits. This position is on-site in Menlo Park, CA. The salary will be adjusted based on the experience of the employee.

The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise. New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.
