Responsibilities

We are searching for a well-organized, reliable electronics technician to join our growing team. In this position you will play a key role in producing the components and electrical assemblies that make up our unique generators. You will work within our newly established Pilot Manufacturing facility in Menlo Park, collaborating with our highly talented team of technicians and engineers to bring affordable, dispatchable and clean energy to the world.   • Diagnose and repair electronics, interpret drawings and read work instructions, install new equipment, and implement electronic upgrades.

  • Run software, as well as set up hardware and use browser based apps to perform tests and run equipment.

  • Collaborate with various teams including engineering, quality & supply chain across a wide variety of issues/corrective actions that are identified in production, field service, testing & inspection.

  • Follow established procedures for the assembly, installation, testing, and troubleshooting of production and R&D components. Follow LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) and other safety procedures.

  • Execute timely corrective action to mitigate and contain quality issues while the production line is active, minimizing downtime.

Qualifications

  • Three to five years of experience in electrical fabrication, assembly, and troubleshooting

  • Demonstrated hands on ability to visually detect electrical defects/non-conformances of materials, determine solutions, and repair them in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience using hand tools (drivers, saws, wire crimpers, etc.)

  • Demonstrated technical computer system knowledge (office suites, Terminal/Command line, managing files, etc.)

  • Vocational certificate or equivalent preferred.

  • Strong verbal & written communication skills demonstrated in a team environment

The Bay Area hourly wage for this role is $31-$35.50 + pre-IPO stock options + benefits. This position will be on-site in Menlo Park. The hourly wage will be adjusted based on the experience of the employee.

The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise. New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.
